Board-certified orthodontist Walied Touni, DDS, MSD, believes everyone deserves a smile they’re proud of. At Touni Orthodontics in Sunnyvale, California, he blends advanced orthodontic expertise with a passion for transforming lives—turning dream smiles into everyday realities.

Dr. Touni began his dental journey at Cairo University in Egypt, where he earned his Bachelor in Dental Surgery with honors and completed both a general dentistry residency and three additional years of training in prosthodontics. After moving to the United States in 1998, he established a successful dental center in San Jose, California.

However, his true calling was orthodontics. He sold his practice to pursue advanced specialty training at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP)—a prestigious Bay Area institution of which he is a proud graduate and active alumni donor. At UOP, Dr. Touni completed a fellowship in Craniofacial Genetics and Facial Development, earning his degree in 2012 while contributing to research and participating in humanitarian missions in South America treating children with cleft lip and palate.

He then continued at UOP for his Orthodontic Residency, graduating in 2014, and went on to complete two additional years of rigorous study to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, achieving board certification in 2015. Dr. Touni recently renewed this elite certification—now valid through 2035—reflecting his ongoing commitment to excellence and lifelong learning.

Today, as the founder of Touni Orthodontics in Silicon Valley, Dr. Touni combines his extensive clinical background, world-class orthodontic training, and compassionate approach to help patients achieve confident, healthy smiles that last a lifetime.
